Australia for Kids experienced another spectacular family activity, Imaginaria is like going into a Magical Box filled with surprises!
Imaginaria is a new form of immersive play. You and your family will walk through dreamlike landscapes including a giant inflatable bubble, navigate a futuristic light maze or jump into a cosmic abyss. The one-hour walk-through play experience is part audio visual installation, part-game and 100% future.
What is your name and kids ages?

How would you describe the Brisbane Imaginaria experience?
We parked our car very close to the QLD Maritime Museum. There are about 10 car spots opposite to the museum, it is worth driving by and checking if it is available, 2hrs parking was enough time for a coffee nearby and to enjoy the Imaginaria Exhibition.
The friendly staff welcomed us with safe Covid measures, we signed in with the QLD app, sanitised our hands and socks were supplied for us to use if we weren’t wearing some.
We put our shoes away and waited for our session to start. The exhibition is setup inside two large temporary inflatable rooms. There is a special door that you need to get through to go inside the “Magical Box”!
The first room had a relaxing movie with lights and as we moved to the second room the kids went “Oooooooooh!!!!!”. It was awesome hearing their explosion of excitement with the things they were seeing and experiencing every time we moved forward into the next zone. They couldn’t wait to see what else was to come.
We were having an amazing time together!

How excited did you and your family feel about Imaginaria?
The lights react to our movements when walking and moving through the zones. It feels like we become part of the show. The way the light reflects on us, and the music plays together is magical, it feels like being loose in space! It actually helps us adults forget our busy lives and enjoy the relaxing and exciting feeling that this immersive experience can provide! Imaginaria is an interactive light and sound exhibition for adults and kids to immerse in a fun and relaxing imaginative play.
What was the best part of Imaginaria for you and your child?
My kids favourite part was the last section because there was a slide in the dark!!! Also, the white cable zone hanging down from the roof was their favourite, they just loved feeling it and walking in and out, through the cables! They kept going between the two zones until time was up!
My favourite part was taking photos. I took one photo of the boys that looks like they are in space and the photo on the mirrors, I just love them! A great memory to keep on our walls!!
To what extent would you agree with the following: Imaginaria is awesome?
We enjoyed every minute of the exhibition, it was a full hour of immersive entertainment, we had a great family time so…. it is absolutely awesome.
