Sunshine Coast 4 Kids got to experience another spectacular family activity last week. The Aquaduck Tour is now also available on the Sunshine Coast!
Did you know that the Aquaduck was a heavy-duty military vessel? Thankfully nowadays we have less military activity requiring the use of this vessels and you are more likely to see them taking families on a fun ride around the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast Rivers!

How would you describe the Sunshine Coast Aquaduck Tour?
The kids, my husband and I headed to the SeaLife Sunshine Coast, where the Aquaduck departs. The Kids were jumping in excitement when they saw the big boat on wheels!
The friendly staff welcomed us with Safe Covid measures. We had to check-in with the QLD app and sanitise our hands.
The Aquaduck can drive around on the street like a car and drive straight into water and float like a boat. I have two little boys who love cars and boats, so this was the perfect choice for family bonding time! We had a great time!
The seats were comfortable, the front section has window and the back is open air. When the car is on the water we can stand up to see things, while it is on the road we need to sit down and wear seatbelts.
The lovely lady who welcomed us, was also the Tour Guide. The story she told us about how the Aborigines named the locations we drove past was very interesting. They also make it very fun for the kids, creating excitement and asking them to look for things on the way! My boys were very entertained during the tour! It was a lot of fun!

How excited did you and your family feel about riding on the Aquaduck?
We were very excited about riding on the Aquaduck. My boys were engaging with the stories and everything that was happening. We saw jellyfish, police boat, submarine, a huge bird nest, multimillion dollar houses, massive boats, famous people’s houses, and we even saw a pirate!!!! Yes!!! There was a pirate! If you see him, let us know!! It was a full 1hr filled with fun!!
What was the best part of the Aquaduck tour for you and your child?
The kids said that the best part of the tour was driving the duck and seeing Steve Irwin’s boat, well they love watching his TV shows!
I believe that at the end was very special… when the captain took the boys on a little tour around the Aquaduck vessel talking about the engine… my boys were absolutely delighted! I did say at the beginning that they love boats and cars!

My young one asked to have a birthday party on the boat! And they actually offer it for kids and adults!
The Aquaduck Sunshine Coast Tour gave our family the opportunity to spend quality time together and will undoubtedly captivate visitors of all ages.
It is absolutely awesome.
